Big News!

We just had our 20 week ultrasound today and all is great!  The baby was less than cooperative and they had a hard time getting some measurements.  But, we did find out that we are expecting another BOY!  We are so excited and couldn't be happier.  He is growing amazingly well and is even measuring a week ahead.  So, it's looking like June 5th.

He refused to change positions until the fourth try.  He finally did just long enough for the technician to take the picture she needed and then he went back to his position.  No amount of coaxing, chocolate, walking, sitting, etc... was getting him to change positions.  I guess he fits into our family quite well since he seems to be just as stubborn as the rest of us!

Getting better slowly...

The boys are on day two of their meds and there are signs of improvement.  Their spirits seem to be up but they crash quite easily.  They are still quite happy to just be still and relax.  Here is a cute picture I took of them chillin' with Daddy!

Sick Kiddos...

The boys have been sick for a few days now and this morning Nicolas woke up screaming that his ear hurt.  So, off to his pediatrician we go...  Sadly, their pediatrician was all booked up and there was no other doctor taking walk-ins.  So, we left and headed over to the walk-in clinic right next to our house.  Luckily they saw us much more quickly seeing as we had 2 two-year-olds with us.  Nicolas has a pretty bad ear infection and Zachary has the start of one.  The doctor noticed that Zachary was wheezing and asked about asthma.  He gave me some pumps to help with his breathing.  Hopefully it won't be too difficult to administer.

The boys already have one dose of the antibiotics in them and hopefully it will take effect sooner rather than later.  Now, all they need are a few good naps and nighttime sleeps and we should be all set...

The boys are all about playing hockey right now.  The got sticks and a puck for Christmas and can't seem to get enough.  Here are some pictures of them playing against each other...

Starting to pee on the potty again....

Two days ago the boys started to pee on the potty again.  They have peed before bed the last two nights and now they pee this morning.  They are doing very well and I am so proud!  Hopefully this will continue and my goal of having them potty trained before the new baby arrives will come to pass.

They have decided that they prefer to pee standing up and it is quite the site to see.  Especially the other night because they both wanted to try at the same time and we only have one potty.  So, they stood side by side with their shirts and socks on waiting to pee.  From behind, it was so cute to see the two little bums standing there...

17 week check-up

I went in for my monthly check-up today.  Everything was great!  Weight gain, blood pressure and a healthy 147 bpm heartbeat.  Can't ask for more than that!  My OB joked around that I was the easiest pregnant lady to deal with... never any problems.  I have been so lucky because so far both of my pregnancies have been a breeze.  Let's hope it continues.  I have my 20 week ultrasound in 3 weeks and I see her again in 4.  Times sure is flying by.  The baby will be here before we know it!

Janidlo family Christmas....

Yesterday we got together with all of Steve's family.  All of the cousins were in the same house and it was so much fun.  There are 11 of them ranging from 2 1/2 up to 9 years old.  It is so great that there are so many of them and that there are enough in a certain age group that no child is left without someone.  It was so much fun to see the interactions between the kids and the adults all had a chance to relax and enough visiting with each other.  All in all a very successful event!  Looking forward to Pop-I's birthday in July since that is the other guaranteed event when we all get together again.  How different it will be since I will have a newborn to add to the mix... 12 grandchildren in all!
