Out of the mouth of babes...

We were at a friend's housewarming party this afternoon.  We haven't seen them in years since they have been living in London, England for the 4 years.  It was awesome to see them again.  The last time they were here and I visited with them, their son was only 2 and their daughter was 3 months old.  I did not have any kids at all!  What a change!  The funniest thing happened while we were there.  Their daughter asked Steve, in the cutest British accent, "Why do they (referring to Zachary and Nicolas) have the same face?"  We do not find that they look alike but I guess since so many people find it hard to tell them apart that they look more similar than we think.

Steve decided to take the boys to the golf dome a few blocks from our house.  The boys love it there and have so much fun.  Here are a few videos of my little golfers...

Charlie is 2 months old today!

I cannot believe that Charlie is already 2 months old.  He is growing up so fast.  He is a great baby and is sleeping unbelievably well for such a young guy.  He is also a very big boy.  I had him weighed on Tuesday during his vaccinations and he weighs 15 pounds 4 ounces.  Here is his 2 month old picture...

Last night Charlie had his second night of a 5+ hour between feeds.  He was last fed at 10:30 and didn't get up again until 5:00am!  He then went back to bed until almost 8:00.  I can so live with this kind of schedule.  He is such an easy going baby.  I couldn't have asked for better.

Charlie went in this morning for his first vaccine.  He did such a great job.  He cried a little during the first shot and little more during the second.  But it only took a few moments snuggled in my arms to calm him down.  Afterwards he immediately fell asleep.  He seems to be a little sensitive on his legs where he was injected, but other than that, he's  doing great.

He was weighed while we were there.  I cannot believe that he has gained as much as did.  At almost 2 months of age (and a little over 8 weeks) he weighs over 15 pounds!  No one can say that I'm not feeding the child!

Corn Roast

Some friends of ours have an annual corn roast at their parents' cottage.  The cottage is right on the water and is only about 45 minutes from here.  We decided this year that we would join in the fun and go.  I am so happy that we did.  The location was beautiful and the company was amazing!  We had a few of our good friends there that we haven't seen in a while.  It was great to see them.  The boys had a blast and we had a hard time getting them to leave.  But once they got tired, they were ready to go.  They were exhausted and had an amazing night's sleep.  Here are a few pictures from our fun day!

Meeting Great Papa and GG

The boys and I went with Mom-I to Lennoxville yesterday.  Steve was working late and we figured it was a good excuse to disappear for the day.  So we headed out in the morning and our fist stop after lunch was Great Papa`s (my grandfather).  He was so happy to see us!  He is just the most adorable man.  Here are pictures from our visit.  Sadly, Charlie was a little cranky due to being hungry and tired.  But at least we were there...

Next we headed over to see GG (Steve`s grandmother).  She lives about 5 minutes away from my grandfather.  Her health is not as good as my grandfather`s but she was having a very good day.  She recognized us almost immediately when we arrived.  The boys were not shy with her and were more than happy to talk to her and show off their cars.  Charlie had just been fed and so he was much happier.  Here are the pictures...

On our way home, Auntie Carolyn and Uncle Randy were kind enough to have us over for dinner.  We got to swim in their pool and the boys got to run around playing with the girls.  The boys are able to touch the bottom of the shallow end of the pool and with their bubbles on their backs, were able to be quite independent.  Zachary kept trying to go out further and thankfully he managed to keep his head above the water.  He would tread water and call for us to grab him.  He was doing quite well.  Nicolas went out a little too far and ended up going under.  I was right next to him and grabbed him immediately.  He was scared for a few minutes but it quickly passed.  I had a hard time getting him out of the pool.  They then spent quite a bit of time wrestling with Uncle Randy.  The boys loved every second of it and have been talking about him this morning.

All three of my boys slept very well last night.  The big boys were so tired that they were asleep before  their heads hit the pillow.  Charlie got his bottle from Daddy at 11:30 and he only woke up for another feed at 4:45!  A little over 5 hours!  Mommy was very happy and thankful for the sleep.  It was a great day!
