Downward facing dog?

This is Zachary's latest trick and it just makes me giggle every time he does it. He just thinks he's being so cute since he tried to play peek-a-boo with anyone or anything he can see when he gets into this position. Nicolas gets into this position as well but he doesn't find it nearly as amusing...

It's basically official...

I am now a stay-at-home Mom!

The boys and I had a very busy morning. We took a drive to the East end and went to my old office to say goodbye to everyone (and to show off the boys as well). They were having a farewell lunch for another one of my colleagues who is leaving for another job. So, my secretary figured it would be a good time for us to stop by. Everyone would be there including my boss.

And I must say, he is a class act. He took the time to chat with me (even though he was very busy) and to "admire" the boys. He mentioned yet again what a great decision he thought that I was making for my family. Not that I needed his approval to make the decision I made, but it just means that this is not a burnt bridge and that maybe someday I will be able to work for him again. And since this is the last impression he is leaving me with, I would be more than happy to do so in the future.

My official last day on maternity leave is the 4th of September, so I still have another two weeks of not technically being unemployed. But my letter of resignation has been sent off, so there is no turning back now. Not that I would even consider it. Being a stay-at-home Mom is the best job I have ever had! I am thankful each day that I am able to watch my boys grow up and not miss out on anything... and the majority of this thanks goes out to Steve who works way too hard to make it all possible.

Here is a picture of Nicolas playing peek-a-boo through the doorway to the office. I was hiding in there while on the phone. It is almost impossible to be on the phone in the same room as the boys! Well, as you can see, I was discovered!

Popsicles and a cute picture

Well, my neighbor recommended that we try out the slow drip popsicles for the boys. They were more or less a hit at this point but we definitely need to try them again before ruling them out completely. Zachary was far more interested than Nicolas.

This was just a cute picture I thought I would add. I just got Zach up from his nap and he went right over to Nic's crib to wake him up. Little did he know that Nicolas was already awake! Thankfully I had the camera in the room to get a good shot of them being so adorable!

Nicolas absolutely loves his stackable cups. But unlike most children, his joy does not come from building towers and knocking them over. He loves to put the back together into one another. There are 10 cups in all (Zachary was playing with a few of them in this video) and he can put them all together with little to no hesitation. It is really quite impressive to watch.

Fun at the park

This morning Steve and I met Paul and Timmy at a park in Dorval. It is an awesome park that not only has the traditional park toys but also an area with water. It was amazing and we had so much fun! The boys seemed a little unsure at first but got into it after a while. The water was a little cold which may have been part of the reason why they were a little unsure.

Corn on the Cob

Steve and I had corn on the cob last night and obviously the boys wanted some. So, I cut the corn so that it wasn't too big (and that way not a waste if they didn't really eat it). And they loved it! They got the biggest grins when they and Daddy were eating the corn at the same time. They just love doing anything like their Daddy...
