Random pictures...

It's been a while since I've posted so I decided to just update with some pictures...

We had a great, quiet weekend.  The boys were awesome and lots of fun!  Blueberry is constantly trying to get into the action by kicking the day away.  He gets very excited when the boys are close by, especially if they are laughing.  I am anxious to see how much stronger he's going to get... he just may kick a hole through my stomach by the end of this pregnancy!

Nicolas was counting this evening.  He got all the way up to nineteen and when Steve asked him what was next, he answered, "zero-teen!"  How brilliant is that!

Steve has been teaching the boys how to catch a ball lately.  They are doing relatively well with it.  He is constantly reminding them to "keep their eyes on the ball".

At dinner tonight, Steve threw me a cup of yogurt.  I missed and didn't catch it.  Without skipping a beat Zachary looked at me and said, "Mommy, you need to keep it on your eye!"

Gestational Diabetes

I just received a call from my OB's nurse stating that I failed the 1 hour glucose test.  I had a reading of 10.1 when they are looking for a maximum of 7.9.  I now need to go back and do the 2 hour test.  I was in a similar situation with the boys except my failing of the 1 hour test was less drastic.

The nurse told me that most women pass the 2 hour after failing the 1 hour.  But it didn't sound optimistic when I informed her that I fasted for the last test.  She said to remain optimistic and we'll see what happens after the 2 hour test.  I have another 2 weeks or so before my next appointment and hopefully the news from the next test will be good.  I plan to go in on Monday morning to have the test done so I should have results by the end of the day on Tuesday.  Keep your fingers crossed!

Sliding....

 We decided to go sliding this afternoon.  We figured we didn't have enough time to go to a sliding hill, but instead one was made in our front yard.  Timmy and Uncle Paul were here and the kiddos had a blast!  This was the first time that my boys went sliding down a hill alone (i.e without Daddy) and I think Nicolas was a little terrified.  He slide down a few times but had more fun shoveling snow instead.  Zachary loved every second of it.  Here are a few pictures...

So tall....

My boys are growing so much!  I don't know if they are really that tall.  But when I compare them to other kids their age, they are quite a bit taller than the others.  They are such big boys now that it almost seems like it was an eternity ago when they were babies.  We got them some new decorations for their room and one of the is a growth chart.  So after we put it up, we measured them and snapped a picture...

Fun with Timmy...

Timmy (the son of some friends of ours) came over to visit the other day with his Daddy (Uncle Paul to the boys).  Aunt Jinny is very pregnant and due in about a week so she needed a bit of quiet in the house.  We were quite happy to have Timmy over to play.  The boys love having him around and they all get along so well.  The played for about an hour before we started our bedtime routine which consists of watching a half hour of tv.  Lately the show of choice is Little Einsteins.  Timmy is also a fan of the show and the three watched together, helping the Little Einsteins out the entire time.  It was adorable!  Here are a few pictures Steve snapped...
